HOUSE SITTING:

So I have landed myself decent paying gigs with this house sitting stuff. A majority of Colorado folks have a dog or a cat or a Subaru and enjoy traveling. How I earned these slush fund accounts is an effortlessly uncomplicated formula.

Simply sharing daily photos of their pets via photo phones. Humans love seeing their pets while away on holidays and it is so totally basic to capture their pets personality. My other secret is leaving their home in more of a desirable appearance than when I found it. Such As; cleaning the windows, running the vacuum, and dusting!!

Humans will share these photos with friends and neighbors and then when someone is leaving town, my name lands on their radar. And I Do Love A Cuddle Puddle On The Bed

And the ever so famous ear hole licks while I am stretching out in the AM. That never fails to add a little pep to my step! It doesn't matter what the relationship is with a strange dog, all you gotta do is lay down on the floor. Dogs love that submissive Sh*t.

And sending a video to the human of their dog sleeping with their cute little pars twitching , hook , line, and sinker for sure. Or capturing those expressive eyebrows carries merit.

Pet owners are well aware that their pets will choose to sleep 20 hours a day if given the opportunity. The other four hours would be spent eating. Right?

And then when their humans return home and discover a clean house , icing on the cake. My 2022 calendar has been filling up rather quickly these days. And 2022 Sounds SOOOO Futuristic

For me, I receive all the puppy love that I have been truly missing, longer walks than I would normally adventure out on, and soaking up the most amazing sunrises and glorious sunsets. And who isn't up for a car ride?? All of these byproducts of dog sitting are welcoming. Animals So Rock

These next four photos were shot in November before Mother Nature arrived with much needed and welcomed wet heavy snow. That includes the above photo as well. PLEASE, Think Snow

CYCLING:

Just felt compelled to whip around and shoot this moment in time. Yes, this was also captured way back in November. Totally caught my third eye as I rode on by and thankful that I spun around. Is That Cool Or What

DECEMBER 20BLK Jack

HR - 63

Miles - 681mi / 1,095km

Activities - 35

PR's - 12

Obviously December was my biggest month of 20BLK Jack. My weakest month of 20BLK Jack was August with 19 measly hours on the saddle. However, the Grand Valley has been socked in with choking wildfire smoke over the past three August and my indoor activities are seemingly unmotivated outlets.

20BLK Jack

Hours - 443

Miles Biked - 3,796.5mi / 6,109.8km

Hiked/Run/Dog Walked - 1,246.1mi / 2,005.2km

Activities - 351

PR's - Double Nickels

Now keeping in mind, I am bummed about NOT completing the 6,000 standard miles goal for the year, my activities and miles were on par in comparison over the past five years numbers. So the old timers in the UK's 10,000km Club waved my puny low KM's for this year. I'm Still In The Club

July was a strong month on the bike but low miles accounted for. I spent all of July in CB on my mountain bike ripping down some sweet single track trails. So my efforts, elevation, and hours were on par to previous years but my miles were way low that month. My longest ride in July was the day before my 50th were I rode for just over 4 hours but only mustered up 17 miles. The Wildflowers Were Majestic

Had a huge week on the bike during the last week of November. Then add in a full belly of booze, all you could eat leftovers, and the passing of W.C. Reed, still hammered out 303 miles / 487km's in just over 22 hours on the saddle. Over those turbulent 9 days, 419 miles / 674kms to round off November. The almost 60F / 15C certainly motivated me as well. Oh Baby

And I leave you with one of my favorite July photos from an amazing day out on the bike. Will I ever hit the lottery?? Would Happily Share!!

WORK:

One of my ever so graceful moments was smashing the H E Double Hockey Stick out of my pinky finger. Me and another guy were replacing the rear roller of a treadmill when he sort of dropped that sucker and my little finger just happened to be placed between the steel bracket and the barring of the roller.

The photo above is from the actual moment that I knew it wasn't broken but the damage was pretty excruciatingly painful.

This photo above was taken about a week later. The photo below was also captured minutes after impact. The guy I was working with asked the ever so ridiculous question after he dropped his side," Are You OK?" I literally couldn't convene a proper response.

And this photo below was shot today , which happens to be three months after the fact. Thankfully there is absolutely no pain these days. Its just a daily nudge that Ortho is where I should be.

Speaking of the Ortho world, talk about some heavy Sh*t. Through a long-ish lines of communication, a client came to me because their world is a mess from a year ago. You ready for this???

Last New Years Eve ( 2020 into 2021 ) their boyfriend wanted to film them but NOT make a porno. As the story goes, the boyfriend allowed the camera man "friend" to take advantage , then another , then another , and six dudes later, bad news. Through the court system, the Phuc-n video's audio portrays her NEVER SAYING NO. So nobody is charged!!! Sickening

Now she never discussed this with me, her folks talked with me at length, their neighbors are friends of friends that passed my name in the hat. They heard that I work with reframing and rescripting through clothing on muscle testing and this voodoo magic called Ortho-Bionomy. This client routinely visits with a "proper" therapist for a year now.

During our third session together, she unloaded. The heat rising from her gut brain was unreal!! Something that I have never experienced in my life. I stayed grounded and maintained my own energy but it was something else. Most of that particular session I just kept my big yap closed and allowed her to discharge out her mouth. I never felt the sorry feeling as I maintained my own ground with a soft focus on her nervous system. I never allowed myself to take on her pain but I never took away her power.

We have been working together now for about four months and her demeanor has radically changed for the better. I made mention to her last week that she is was walking with confidence as she strolled down the hallway towards my office. Talk About A Light Bulb

Doesn't make my regular clients regular by any means but dang. Session like those really stand out and I wish I knew where my mentor Craig lives these days. I wouldn't hesitate to ring him up and thank him for all the education way back when. Who Knew

PERFORMANCE:

Kalinderrrrrrrrs is now the hospitality and booking manager for the Avalon Theater, Convention Center , And Los Colonias Amphitheater. So we , as a family, sat in the front row of the unbelievable performance by Cirque Musica Spectacular.

I previously missed the musical aspect of the bill but that was seriously the highlight of the show. The live musicians playing to the theatrics of the stage performers added the perfect dynamics and build ups.

One of the performers included The Dude and he happily obliged. The entire evening was a hit and I am pleased that I attended. Even if I was the only yahoo wearing a mask.

These performer's display such raw power and the flexibility aspect was remarkable. Sure, they have the strength of ten men but to possess that ability and flexibility as well. Dynamite

And then to completely blow my mind, the whole show was centered around a family traveling cross country during the holidays. This performance was based on one night in a hotel room where the three kids fought over WiFi and technology in general. The father intervenes and removes all their vices. The mother and father go on to tell the tales ... Absolutely Brilliant

  2. Your pet/house sitting sounds like a great gig and you enjoy it so much! Wonderful! So do the pets by the look of it. No wonder the owners are pleased.

Being able to help that young woman must feel great! Well done!

We haven’t been on our bikes since early October. You’ve done much better than that. I am rather envious!

Happy New Year, Padre! May it be a year of wonderful adventures!

If it makes you feel any better, I stubbed my little toe and I think I broke it again. It now has this funny little bend in it. I will try to send all the snow forecasted for here you're way instead. I could happily go through Winter without snow. Take care

  9. Dearest Travis,
House sitting and spoiling fur babies, is of course a good thing.
You surely are a good person for doing some extra work in/around the house.
What a story about that woman's fate... Hard to believe such a treatment by a 'boyfriend'. SAD.
You added a lot of kilometers, biking and running/walking!
Never will reach that and I'm grateful for what I do manage.
Just was cleaning out the Rose Suite downstairs after the painters redid the living room and bedroom walls. Got real dizzy and nauseating sick while hanging down for cleaning the kitchenette's lower cabinet doors. So had to lie down, at a rice cake and read your post. Now it's on to tea time with mixed unsalted nuts. Might have to finish my cleaning tomorrow, need to vacuum the floor, mop the tiles and than put the rug back in and all the seats with footstools...
    Hugs,
    Mariette

  10. Hmmm. I think house-sitting is not common in Germany.
    Sadly!

Reckon I need to get a cat or two and go on holidays. The windows need cleaning and I hate doing this! Kidding (a bit).
Sounds like a fun and rewarding job! (Unlike mine, but I´m glad I now have one again).

    Great lake shot!

Bike is no longer mine, really. I have such a cool one! From the hardware store only, a boy´s bike, light and all, great for a cheapy. But all these e-bikes, e-scooters rushing by left and right without taking care of others. No fun anymore.

    Outch.
    Bigger outch!
    Oh, boy!
    Help!
    Also to that video...
    Some jobs you have...

Great show, I could never ever do anything like that. My Brother and the Big Niece are pretty good, though. "Was" for my Brother, LOL.

Love your goals. Clever and creative.

Like the video, last Christmas lights - cheers.

  12. You have a talent for capturing the personality of pets on camera. Those snapshots of dogs are fabulous. I can see some of their character traits. I'm sure their owners love seeing the photos you snapped. I bet that loving animals makes your house sitting gigs more enjoyable. Someone who doesn't like dogs or is afraid of them would probably struggle. This way everyone is happy. Also, cleaning the homes is a great tip. I will remember it if someone ever asks me to home sit.
Great photos as always. So sorry to hear about the horrible abuse that happened to your client, I hope they get the help they need- and hopefully some day also justice in court. Hearing the abusers got away just breaks my heart.
