BIKE NIGHTS:

Orange ya glad I committed to another season of bike night shenanigans with the tribe?? Unfortunately , no more bike nights for 2024.   Too Cold My A$$

By ending Friday Night Bike Nights , we lose an opportunity for a Turkey Night Ride , A Holidaze Xmas Ride , and the possibility of an exceptional New Years Eve Ride. This last ride of the season is always a kick to the gut and this particular ride was no different.   See Ya In 2025

Will have to state for the record , 2024 bike night rides were one of the finer seasons for sure. The turn outs were well over 100+ participators for any given night. More than a majority of the time at least half of us dressed in costumes per that night's theme. The bicycle decorations were more pronounced than previous years. Personally , our favorite ride of the year was that first Friday in October as Tim from SD was an integral part of that night's festivities. And after all these years now , folks are finally showcasing BIKE LIGHTS!!!   So Groovy

HALLOWEEN:

Our group theme for Halloween was carefully induced by an 8 year old. My grand nephew ( wearing the helmet in the photo below ) is completely obsessed with football. He currently plays flag football and defaults towards illicit NFL situations with every conversation.

Many months ago when this theme was announced , during a bike night ride of course, not sure I was all that keen. Our group theme would be football players?? So I purposed a caper that Avery fancy's the football player get up thing and we all dress up as his entourage of cheerleaders. Hellz Yez

And yes , we curated four separate cheers for when Avery and Iris rang random doorbells during Halloween's Trick & Treating. Oh yes , tricks were most definitely played during this All Hallows Eve. And Yes , The Dude & I stayed in character ALL night long.  Celebrating Our Youth

One of the many highlights would be on the corner of a rather busy track home round about. A husband ( dressed in a purple velvet pimp outfit ) and the wife ( dressed in her warm slutty cat outfit ) were set up in their driveway with a table , music , and goodies. Well Lit

They were politely offering cold brews to the adults , handfuls of Halloween candy for the kids , and were pretty quick with snapping off photos of trick or treaters. I casually mentioned to our group , " Follow my lead and be loud and proud." With everyone lined behind me by about two steps back , I rang out with my pomp pomps in hand ," We have a proper cheer for you!!" I began a simple cheerleading strut while calling out " Give Me A P , Give Me An I , Give Me An M , Give Me A P , Whats That Spell????? " We Have Spirit

MARBLE:

So I am pretty rough around the edges when it comes to That Phuc'n Time Change.

Behind the wheel of a larger automobile, the digital world becomes a blur. You see , Marble Colorado has zero cellular service and only the rich are plugged into the WiFi world.

Unplugging for the time change is actually therapeutic for me. Living on Earth Time allows my body to adjust just fine and when I return to the Big City , All Is Well.

Unfortunately , I should have stayed up there with my head in the sand. Seriously , I was under the impression that all would work itself out in a nice little package with a beautiful purple bow.

My ballot was slipped into the box way before I boogied town as I am not into standing in lines period. I am a male and lines at True Value rock my world. I haven't patronized a fast food joint sense the nineteen hundreds and I would NEVER sit in my car at a drive through line up.   Oh Phuc That Noise

Knowing I would be faced with a long day Wednesday , I passed on the TV World the night of the election. I hugged the pillow at something ridiculous like 7:30pm and knew that I would wake up with Harris as the new Prez O.  Devastated

Upon hearing The Donald won, completely dumbfounds me. Yes, I wanted to throw in the towel and conduct my own temper tantrums. The thought of calling folks to check in burdened me because I knew that I needed to reach out but who wants to hear more fear and doom and gloom? I knew that I should reach out and be the supportive friend but none of that hippie good human shit transpired. I didn't necessarily spiral until I discovered my mothers email subject HUMBLE AND THANKFUL with all those christian cult emojis in tow.   Sickening

All that I can project from here on out are these simple rules. Be the better human. Keep in mind that I have community support. Walk the walk of the talk I talk. This is hopefully leading me to act a little more patient. Allow myself to offer a little more compassion. Continue to open doors to these useless pink TRUMP hat wearing women. Be thorough with projects and don't seek the corner cutting route. And most importantly , do good for as long as I can. After all , The Donald will be Nuking the Middle East here in about the next two years. When you're dead , you are dead.

Enjoy The Time You All Have Left ,

Travis

  3. As the Boston Red Sox announcer says when someone makes a great play or makes a timely hit, "can you believe it". Lots of clueless and stupid people out there so be careful. Take care, my friend. It was nice seeing a comment by you on the blog.

  4. I think you have a great attitude. Reach across the aisle, be kind to people, make the best of it. That's all we can do. Things are eventually going to go tits-up (as the British say) and it will be interesting to see how the Trumpers react. I'm sure they'll find some way to blame the Democrats.

  5. "Celebrating Our Youth" - YES to that. We had snow, also, just a bit, eeek. The Don will doom us all, I fear.If he stops supporting Ukraine.... oh, yikes.

  6. Funny photos...thanks... It just feels good.
And I love snow, even though I'm still a bit in autumn... it's so beautiful in the forest...
    Hugs for you.
    ...Be the better person!
